Thump, thump, thump, THUNK. Fleet was seen tumbling down the hillside, screaming and kicking her legs. OW. OW. OW. OW. With every single bump she yelled, then finally hit rock bottom. The bay warmblood scrambled to feet, dizzy and confused. She looked around, blinking. Well this sucks. Fleet grumbled, shaking the dust off of her coat. Interesting. Not really, the place was dull as dust. Just like how her life had been. Stupid dad and stupid Wart. She hated her twin brother, and her dad. Well, now she was far, far, far away from there. But where was she? Fleet sniffed, shaking her head and sneezing. Sadness flooded into her though and she felt herself wishing to be back with them. Everyone around here seemed mean and unforgiving. But then again, so was daddy. Fleet pouted and walked on, taking care to not canter up and down hills anymore.
Now, you may remember Fleet from Winds of Change. This is that same one. Anywho, let's get back to her. Fleet was cantering in a straight line, sliding to a stop. She knew she was in a type of claiming grounds and that this place dealt with four elements, fire, water, wind, and earth. She hated all of them. Mostly fire and water. Stupid things, petty things. She needed none of that. Being a free bird was all she cared about. Fleet shook her head vainly. If any dared try to talk her into being their queen or joing them, they'd have a helluva time trying. She grinned, lifting a forehoof and stamping it on the ground. And that's that. Let's wait. Fleet sighed. It would be a long, long wait.

Kind-spirited stag of crimson, fire hue heard the tumbling flight of the vixen, auds perked forward and his bod tensed, seeing her up and moving again shortly though he didn't move after her in a rush. She diappeared from view for a while and the beast was left standing on his own. Moving along his step light and firm he soon found her again. Nicker of greeting was sent forth from his deep vocals, and he walked toward her, he did not arch his nape and prance like a prince. He was a King, a Lord of the Earth Realm, he felt no need to show off.
Good morning fair lady, where might ye be off to on this sunny day? The Lord of Iason Canyon asked, stopping a respectful distance away from the damsel, he was not imposing, meerly curious to meet her, he would not press nothing, and if they liked each others company then she could either join him, or he'd visit her.

Fleet blinked and turned. She turned again and again until she had turned in full circle. The maker of that sound was no where in sight. Until- oh. There he is. She nickered back in reply, tilting her head. Hi. I dunno where I'm off to.. Just. Here. She snorted, raising a brow in suspicion. She wouldn't jump on the first stallion who came. If another came, so be it. She would talk to this one for time's being and wait until another showed up. Maybe a third. She would choose between them all and pick the one she would rather be with. Or something like that. In short, she would wait for more stallions. Fleet bobbed her head, beckoning him over. They must talk. I'm Fleet. She offered, blinking and swishing her tail.

Well, the more the merrier... Strands of black forelock were tossed away from his handsome face as he paused to regard the couple standing before him. Obviously another stallion had reached the mare first, and was trying to win her over even now. Argo's first impression had been subtle annoyance, but it had lifted to form a kind of anticipation, excitement at even such a small challenge.
Powerful boa brought itself up into a natural arch, tresses flowing along his neck like dark water as he glided forward again, every movement full of liquid grace. His well trained, well balanced gait was visible now, usually hidden under a kind of lazy attitude. Rarely did he show off, but now it was obvoius that he was, all for the benefit of the two he now approached. It wasn't through a bold display, this showiness, but hidden in the subtle fluidness of his movements, the way he carried himself with a noble, proud demeanor. Harks were flicked back, not toward the equines, only accentuating the arch of his powerful neck, the play of steelspring muscle beneath his jet black pelt. They propelled his whole body forward, made him what he was: a warrior. That was the past, now, though. He was only a stallion now, in search of those who might reside within his domain, with all its whispered secrets and rolling waves of green.
The stallion's powerful black body slid to a halt but a few paces away from the pair, his skull lifting so that he might survey them with deep mocha hued eyes. His gaze was calm, intelligent, welcoming. No anger or hostility showed itself as he dipped his head first to Fleet, then to Independence. A smile glowed within those chocolate orbs as he at last let speech float upon the air waves.
"What a beautiful day to meet a pair such as yourselves! I am called Argo, lord of the Rangi Plains."
This said, he fell silent, waiting for them to supply him with their own names. Now that he was among the group, he realized they must not have been together long, as they still had the air of strangers about each other. Good. His gaze drifted from mare to stallion, and then back again as silence fell and time slipped by, a breeze beginning to waft up through his mane.

Lord of the Earth Realm had been about to reply to the dame but the arrival of the second stag cut him short. Optics alighted upon the figure and kept upon him as he spoke, accepting the bob of greeting he gave one of return, his words still contained within his mouth to speak. Turning toward Fleet again he spoke his own title. I am Independence of Iason Canyon. Greetings to you Fleet and you Argo Independence replied smoothly, his rich tones a song of power and good tidings, he had not a mean bone in his bod. He was gently kind and not necessarily a very good plotter. Nape curved as he bent to itch his knee, whenever he came upon a group of strangers he seemed to itch there, maybe a warning sign, maybe not. He stopped and waited for the next one to speak.

Oh joy. Fleet frowned. This new one, Argo, he was too peppy. Too happy. Too everything. He would do her good.. Maybe. She would wait it all off.. Hi. And I'm Fleet. She droned lazily, blinking at him. Then Independance spoke. Nice to meet you Independance, you too Argo.. Both lords eh? She tossed out dryly, a sad attempt to make conversation. Fleet muttered something inaudible, grinning at them both all the while. Two good suitors.. A nice strong one, Argo. And a tender and caring one, Independance. Without waiting for a reply to her lame question, Fleet continued with her lazy speech. A canyon and plains. Interesting. So.. I guess I know what you're here for and why you're talking to me. Anything else? Questions, stuff like that? She kicked at the ground, blatantly bored with this.

Independence would have arched an eyebrow at her had he had one. But he was a horse and all that showed of his amusement was the clean sparkle that flickered across his dark optics. Smile quirked at the corner of his maw and he flickered his banner in annoyance at the bloodsuckers that always came with spring.
The sun was turning his red coat a clean color of fire, only thing destroying his look of purity was the dirt upon his rump and slender appendages. He was a horse and he couldn't always stay clean. At her question he almost gave a chuckle but contained himself. There seems no need to answer lady Fleet, for you already know the question. It is rightly up to you now to decide between us. Thus you should be the one asking the questions. The brute answered logically, his auds flickering to catch sounds around him and her voice or Argo's.

The stallion was slightly taken aback at this statement, one aud tipping in the direction of his rump in a sign of slight confusion, or perhaps anoyance. He wasn't all happy, but these two seemed even less that than he. The mare was.... well, different. He hadn't seen anyone like her in a long while, or perhaps never. She was much more frank, stumbling over her words, than he had been expecting. The only sign of this was the way he tipped that single hark back, and the expression of mild surprise lingering within dark eyes. He was quiet for the moment, dial held atop his powerful boa, which still retained its arch. Flag tipped lazily back and forth as suckers headed his way, slapping lightly against his gleaming flanks. There was little to mar the onyx perfection in his own home, save for the occasional muddy spot. True, he was covered in a fine blanket of dust all over, but that hardly stopped the shine which reflected golden sunbeams, and a healthy spirit within.
Large skull dipped slightly in what was a rather confused nod, tassle suddenly slapping both flanks sharply. When he raised his head, he flipped ribbons of black forelock from his eyes and regarded Fleet closely, letting Independence speak before him. His words were coming, though, and he gave voice to them soon enough, lyrics humming on the air like distant rolls of thunder.
"He is right; it is you who should be questioning, although I do wonder at one thing: why try this conversation if it bores you?"
Head tilted sideways, ears flopping with it, as he gave her an amused expression. Not laughing at her, but rather at the whole situation, he snorted and shook himself again, becoming rather bored himself. A kind of stiffeness was beginning to grow, building up where conversation found itself hard to come by. None of them seemed to feel like speaking, except perhaps for Independence, who seemed to be upholding his manners magnificently, so it was hard to tell what he was feeling. Seeing as this Fleet had been quite frank towards them, though, Argo decided it was only fitting to give her back that quality in return, and so stood looking at her with reserved humor in his eyes, expression somewhat ironic. Fleet shrugged, trying to hide the little childish smile that was curling up the sides of her muzzle. Hmf. I'm bored because of the conversation. Trying to liven it up a bit. She stuck out her tongue at that moment, on accident, giggling. A sense of euphoria took over her and she felt like prancing. Like a foal. Fleet looked at Independance and Argo, grinning now. Decide? I dunno. I barely even talked to you both. She emphasized on talked, still giggling. She narrowed her eyes, inspecting Argo for a minute. Then to Independance. Hmm.. She would have to decide between these two. Great.
[-shrug- short, but i like it. it makes me giggle. xP]

Independence was thoroughly amused and confused. This maiden accused them of boring the conversation, yet they'd known her for a mere few minutes and she seemed so blunt and hurried. Snort rippled through his nares and his auds flinched in an interested yet mildly irritated manner.
Her second comment cut him short, hardly talked to them? Good god that was understandable, he and Argo had hardly managed to get beyond greeting before she'd launched into the matter of claiming. She seemed even oddly rushed in this matter of claiming, rather then the usual slow persausion normally used. Indeed you have not lady Fleet. You hardly gave us a chance to say much more before your pressed ahead with the proceedings... Independence spoke smoothly, his easy tones melting out of this maw in a steady manner. His soft, black optics tipped their gaze briefly to take in the image of Argo beside him, before tipping back to Fleet. He would await her reply, or hear from Argo again.
The matter that she found this boring still bothered him. If this whole matter of claiming bored her why had she come here at all? Banner washed over his hauches in a stinging swish to rid the annoying insects that came with the heating day. The sun was glinting off his crimson pelt, making it dance like a fire.

the red roan mare was looking for a home she needed a stallion after being outcast by her last....she spotted argo...she had always like him..but she like hydro to but if she had to choose it would be argo...she nickered, knowing he would probably only think of her as an anoyance and would want her to go away...but she was desperate now...almost killed by a mountain lion two days before she was...she tripped, fell and quickly righted herself...she looked around to see if anyone had seeen her fall and she felt her cheeks growing slightly red with embarrasment....she bowed low to argo..." M'Lord, I'm vivian le mar and I'm searching for a home...would you mind??" she caught his gaze and held it there but was forced to look away for fear of crying....maybe she would never find a home..always be an outcast forever....she felt diamonds running down her cheekbones and knew she was crying...she was very embarrased but you couldn't see it...she nodded to independence and waited...

Fleet blinked. Weren't they just supposed to talk? Not accuse her of stuff? Well then talk. This is the only the second time I've ever been claimed. She snorted, shaking her head. If you could call it that. I feel like I'm being interrogated. At the sight of this new mare, bursting in like that, Fleet was filled with jealousy and rage. Excuse me? She snorted haughtily at this new mare. Why have you just burst in unexpectedly? Do you even know these two fine.. er.. stallions? Fleet narrowed her eyes, one to always judge another by first impressions and jumping to conclusions.
[let me ask you something, do you really want fleet with you at all times? xD]

ooc: Independance. I don't think you can be in two places at once. You should post a leaving post in Iason or in this thread.
