I don't bother to use my powers, for I have little power. Against a large flame like that, mine would be considered flimsy and would die rapidly. I snort, not moving to attack the stallion as I become silent, entranced by the slow, heated dance of the flames...

Monopoly grins at her across the flames. He lets them die with his eyes, watching in bliss as they sink to the ground and burn out. Only wisps of smoke are left, curling in the air like pale gray snakes. He keeps an eye on Promise, saying nothing for a few minutes. Finally he sighs. Now then.. What would you like to do? He is already bored of their previous game, and although he feels rather tired, he's up to whatever she can throw at him.

I snap back to attention, registering what Monopoly has just said, I smirk, letting him guess for a few seconds before whirling around and starting off across the dunes at a break-neck gallop. I am fleet and swift, the wind flying through my tassels. I hope I don't trip as I fly up and down the dunes...

Running is, of course, another thing that Promise will easily better him at. Smiling, Monopoly picks up a canter. He kicks up sand as he moves steadily, not bothering to change his pace at first. But the pretty half-Arabian is already a few dunes ahead, so he increases his speed. With haughty expressions, the little striped lizards scurry out of the path of death, wary of the eight flying hooves belonging to the two unruly horses.
The painted stallion continued to go faster until he reached a gallop, but Promised Darkness remained several yards ahead. He tosses his head, frustrated at his situation. But gears began to turn in his head, and he decides he must find a shortcut, a way to cut her off. He veers right, racing up a dune and back down again, moving out of sight from the mare. There are less dunes here, and he navigates around the few that exist, and makes his way to the top of another. There is Promise. As he expected, he has pulled ahead of her. Grinning at his own cunning, he lunges down the dune and whirls in front of her.

I see Monopoly veer out in front of me as I come down a steep dune, I try to stop and I end up skidding down the dune, trying to gain traction on the sand. I am unable to and I trip, falling head over heels to the base of the dune, coming to a stop at the bottom. I shake the sand from my bodice as I stand, glaring at Monopoly the whole time, but all the while laughing inside...
