1,2,3,4 River knew not how many times the rhythm had been put to use on her journey from the lands of claiming only that the placing of her titaniums seemed to have echoed the beat oddly loud, or perhaps it was just her? Silver cloaked damsel now sighed, knowing for now her journey had come to an end and that she could rest a while.
It was now the finely crafted dial rose, the feel of the wind playing with her tassels causing her great satisfaction. Diamonds shifted in the earth below, visionaries sweeping over the new land with an eagerness too great to disguise. Plume, as if with mind of its own was carried also by the wind, which, she know found toyed with the blades too. A half smile crept to her maw as she looked over her new home, pillars turning her in a tight circle so she faced the way she'd come. Lovely the place might be but without the stag who'd invited her here she was lost. Turning and viewing the lands to keep her entertained she waited, amused by her own movements and also those of the land around her.

Flutes swiveled atop his great crown as he looked around, frame tense as the steelspring muscles beneath his ebony pelt grew taut. Somewhat nervous, yes, and he wasn't really sure why. No, he did know, he just wouldn't admit it. Since when had he been so jumpy? A snort echoed from his nasals as he forced himself to calm down, forelock falling over his eyes as he let he tension from his frame slowly. There was no reason to worry, none at all. He knew that, but instinct crept up every now and then and took away the practiced calm of a knowledgeable warrior, a warrior who now lay down his weapons and looked for a more peaceful calling. Well, he hoped he'd found it.
As the steady rhythm of the mare's hoofbeats finally reached him, he turned and headed slowly towards her, his own gait a light jog, evenly balanced. Crown had lifted, forelock parting from deep mocha eyes as he cast about curiously. There, her pale form was easily distinguished from the horizon. What amounted to a soft whicker left him, rustling past paperthins as he slowed to a walk and then a halt, poll held high and harks flicked towards her. Tail plumed out behind him, swaying slightly as the breeze played about dark strands. Now silence fell over them, broken only by the endless whisperings of the breeze and the grasses. He knew not what they were saying, but he took comfort in their voices.
Now the tension was gone from him, leaving the stallion who had been before. Tall, but not noticeably so, for he was well proportioned with the amount of muscle covering hsi bones, and coated completely with ebony black. Hints of blue might be visible in the light, as all things black shine with more than one color. The only dirsuption of the pattern was on his face, a splotch of white between both mocha tinted eyes. It was visible now that the breeze took his forelock away, peeking from between strands of jet black like sunlight through murky water.
"River... I am glad to see you made it alright."
If equines could have smiled, Argo would have let such an expression fall across his maw. As it was, his eyes glinted warmly from their shadowed positions beneath the curtains of black forelock and his whole demeanor exuded a relaxed aura. Yes, he was home and he was comfortable. No need to be otherwise.

Crown turned at the sound of another, Argo. Visionaries brightened obviously, flutes swiveling easily as the ebony stag came to view. A slight sound left the porcelain dove in response to the whicker he'd sent forth. Frame spun, position altering for Rivers comfort. The silver threads at her rear continued to move without any effort on her part, mane landing rebelliously wherever it chose along the length of her slender serpentine.
Though the land itself continued to interest the femme her attention for the present remained with the stallion. Muscles relaxed throughout the mare, flutes now turning themselves to the stallion seeing as though they had an excuse, continuing to drift as he finished and she took her turn at speaking.
As am I, arriving here is one of the nicest things to have happened to me for a long time.
She spoke what was the truth, her past journeys had never ended well. Arriving in new lands allowed her to almost begin again, wipe the slate clean. She was under no illusion, however, her past wouldn't leave her, she could only call it her past and move on. Lowering her dial some, allowing her mind to cease its wanderings for a moment and instead take in what surrounded her, the sounds mostly. Flutes flicking towards where she knew Argo was, she found her gaze drawn to the stallion, perhaps because he was the one who had accepted her, perhaps because she knew so little about him, perhaps for some reason she was yet to figure out. She herself did not know, only that he meant her no harm, he was one to be respected and trusted.. With these thoughts in mind, different as they were from what she had wanted to think upon she raised her cranium and looked towards the stag himself, hazel visionaries reflecting contentment, warmth and other emotions which often drifted within the silver fae.

Ribbons of ebony fluttered about his shadow kissed form, flapping in the light breeze like tattered flags, proud all the same. Forelock had fallen back over his face, obscuring all expression within those mocha eyes. They still held a warmth, happiness, that rested easily in them. Argo was not like so many who were hard of heart. He was well traveled, yes, and had seen his share of wickedness, but remained untainted for the experience. Faith and hope remained strong in his character always, both for himself and for those around him.
Dial tilted as he listened to River speak, eyes traveling over her form curiously before they traveled towards the horizon beyond her, that single place where sky and grass did meet. The grasses rustled about his legs as he answered, pulling at the ribbons of his tail.
"I believe your arrival is one of the nicest things to have happened to me for a long while as well."
Dipping his head, the stag suddenly shifted, freeing his tail of the clinging grass and emitting a snort that fluttered ebonite paperthins. Raising his head to give her what amounted to a mischievous expression, he walked up to her and nipped lightly at the crest of her neck, dancing suddenly away and pausing to see if she would follow in his game.

ooc: Thanks Pyro ;D
Listening to his reply she shook her dial, her expression reflecting contentment and visionaries turning towards the land again momentarily. She was saved from replying by the movement of the stag, a slight curiousity at the expression he wore. Feeling the nip she threw up her dial, watching him move away and animating her pistons.
Grass brushed her pillars, the breeze causing the slender blades to sway slightly, her plume held high so as not to get caught amongst them. Flutes remained as statues upon the pearl crown, diamonds moving automatically, remaining on a single patch of earth for the shortest of moments before being raised again.
A slight prancing through the grasses and she was near enough to return the nip. Taking advantage of his pausing she allowed her ivories to connect with the stag in a light nip, pulling away quickly she returned to where she'd stood previously. Snorting lightly forelock fell stubbornly over her visionaries, shaken aside easily only to fall back into place. Pulling her dial in towards her trunk she pranced slightly, occuli glittering with playful mischief.

((Ooh, cool)) A snort rattled past paperthins, shaking the air around his broad muzzle as she came back at him, steelspring muslce rippling under jet black pelt. Laughing, he threw himself sideways, dancing lightly away and watching her with deep mocha eyes.
"You like to run?"
He asked quietly, harks flicking, before suddenly turning and shooting off, braces churning 'neath his ebon frame. Flints bit at the turf as stride elongated, pace slowing and becoming more fluid. Dial tilted, glance thrown questioningly back, gaze daring her to catch him.

A questioning in her gaze soon replaced by a silent laugh. Flints moved below her, so slightly the change of position was barely obvious. Flutes flicked, absorbing his words, she liked to run, a fact, not a question.
I like to run.
Slightly surprised by his sudden moving off appendages brought her back a little, paper thins quivering as she blew sharply a soft snort emitted. Merely watching a moment ivory pillars at last set her into motion, pace quick so as to catch up. Despite her reasonably small stature, the lack of bulk to her she could move, and did so now. Movements switching from springy to almost floating as she neared Argo. She could quite happily run as long as needed, stamina being something most of her breed possessed. If he wanted her to catch him, she'd give it her best shot. Looping around in a circle, she slowed, looking at the stag and dipping her dial a little, hazel visionaries returning his gaze. Taking a few springy steps forwards she launched back into motion, this time intending to stay with the monarch.

Hooves made thunder beneath his shadow kissed form as he ran, tail flagged and mane rippling out behind like a great, silky black banner. Spirits high, the stag kept his eyes on River's form, nasals flared to reveal their crimson interiors. Optics were trained back, towards the mare's pale form, as he strove to avoid her, mischief gleaming in his eyes. The chase probably wouldn't last long, as he wasn't made for running, but it was more fun than he'd had in ages.
Putting on a last burst of speed, Argo glanced over his shoulder and let a brassy bugle push from his throat before dropping his speed, gliding on long, graceful strides through the tall grasses. Winds whistled at his back, blowing forelock into his eyes, as he shook his proud dial, snort echoing from nasals as he tried to clear them. He was coasting on momentum now, hoofbeats growing slower as he lost the speed. He didn't mind, though, he'd had enough fun. Fun... The word seemed strangely alien now. Perhaps it was good to break up monotony once in a while. To act like a colt again... but only every once in a while. ((sorry, that was crap))

Silver hued chains blown in random directions as pillars continued to carry her, pace increasing until she moved alongside the ebony stag. Dished dial was inclined slightly as paper thins fluttered again, flutes remaining stationary in their posts. Tiara tilted slightly, hazel optics looking on the brute before fixing ahead again. Slowing some so she was slightly behind a light nip was planted about his blade.
Movements slowed gradually until she came again to a standstill, tassels landing in all directions their movement stopping along with River. Shaking her forelock she snorted, as if ending all she'd done and looked to the stallion, paper thins continuing to flutter as she calmed, a glint of mischief in the dark optics. It had been too long sine she'd last played a game so simple and so fun, to run as fast as she wished was exhilaration beyond compare, and she regretted not doing it more often. Trunk fell as she relaxed again, muscles beneath her pallid canvas loosening. Pillars were now set into motion again, gaze fixing on the stallion as cranium dipped.
ooc: Nope, that was crap.
