she had come to like rangi a lot..and argo. she wanted to have a foal with him for being so kind and allowing her to join the herd...she would never act that way again. so jealous of not being lead mare, how foolish she admitted to herself...she still liked sept a bit and but had heard his last words..she wasn't welcome there anymore but rangi was her home now..a gust of wind flew over the grass, making the long stems rippled likes waves near the ocean. It took her breath away at how beautiful it looked and she knew it was..this was perfect for her and she would protect it will every inch of muscle in her body if she had to but that was another story...though she wasn't no lead mare she still looked up every so often twisting her lobes catching the small and disstant sounds..a coyote called and she winced...but continued to watch for intruders or danger..she held her facade high along with her red plume which glanced the grasses tops and almost fell into them..she looked so majestic and beautiful up on the hillside with the sun covering her frame like a blanket...she pushed altair and sept into the back of her mind where she would never think of them again.....

River had learned how to navigate with ease through the emerald carpeted lands and she did so now, her movements those of one entirely content in all that was. Visionaries of deep mahogany searched all that had been placed before them, accompanied by her harks, swiveling ceaselessly atop a crown of silver. There was another, at least she thought there was, a quiet sound and a scent she couldn't place other than to say it was that of an equine. Perhaps it was Argo? Her movement became slightly quicker, a little more eager at the thought of company, whether it be Argo or another mare recently invited into the lands.
When at last a reddish hued frame caught her eye Rivers expression became one of confusion, she'd never before known an equine of such pigmentation.. Driven by curiosity she carried on towards the damsel, both harks now flicking decisively forwards and crescents quivering gently in response to the curiosity of the femme. Banner held high, carelessly following her slight frame she increased the arch in her curvature, dark visionaries glinting beneath the rebellious threads of forelock which tampered with her vision. Now a picture of calm she tilted her dial, a hark drifting lazily backwards and placed her last flint, bringing herself to a halt and allowing her gaze to travel briefly over the form of the other mare. Other than her red roan colouring she seemed as any other, there was nothing to suggest she was unsociable or anything of the sort. Perhaps it would be rude to take a first impression from what you saw alone, but the mare seemed slightly.. distracted, distracted yet quietly confident. Or maybe it was just the way River interpreted her expression and she was entirely wrong? Shaking a crown composed entirely of ashen ribbons, granting herself clear vision once more she decided to just talk to the mare rather than make unfair judgment.
Greetings, I'm River.. who are you?
Dark visionaries locked onto the mare as she spoke, her tone casual and stance reasonably relaxed. Her expression remained passive, the arch in her boa becoming slightly more prominent, shifting her forelock and causing her lengthy tassels to tumble neatly down the length of her neck, appearing as a curtain. Silent again she didn't relax too much, by the comfortable and relaxed appearance of the mare she was guessing she'd indeed been claimed by Argo.. but where was he?

((Ooh, I like your post, River!)) Skull found itself skimming the grass, conical listeners flopping atop his crown as he thudded dully along, hooves scraping dirt from the earth below him. Every motion spoke of exhaustion, won out now when before pride or good nature had kept it at bay. He was not giving up, it was not in his nature, but he was tired, and the past days had not gone as he'd planned them...
Harks fixed themselves forward as River's vocals drifted towards him, brought along by the small breeze. It lifted lank tresses from his powerful neck, speaking words of comfort to the stallion's ears. Argo paused, gazed about with his deep brown eyes, then shook himself. The ghost of a laugh shook from his maw, cynical laughter at the self pity he was exhibiting. Well, now, look at this. What would the old Argo have thought about it? Skull rose, harks flicking as he remained silent and motionless. Now a slight smile sparkled through his features, replacing the exhaustion which had previously reigned.
He stretched his neck forth as he moved on again, pace now a lazy trot. The rhythm of his heavy irons, accompanied by the gentle whisperings of green waves, heralded the proud stallion's arrival. He slowed as he came towards River, pausing to stand by her side. Banner settled itself over his powerful legs, raven's wing pelt glistening in the pale sunlight. He looked first to Vivian, giving her a small nod, then turnd to River, a smile crossing his maw for the briefest of moments.
"Her name is Vivian Le Mar, although I am quite sure she could have introduced herself."
There was no cynical pleasure in the statement, no insult that might be taken. It carried laughter, light as the cloud fluff billowing in pockets over Argo's royal crown.
"It is good to be back again..."
The stallion added this as an afterthought, shaking himself off so that his mane fell between carefully fluted ears, lending him a comfortable, carefree sort of look. He reached over, nibbling affectionately at the grey's whithers before stepping away from her, giving her space, and waiting for Vivian to leave her ever watchful position and give them her attention. she nickered at argos arrival the emerald ground beneath her irons seemed to sway along with the wind in which blew through the mares silky red forlock which tampered agonizlingly with her mahogany gems took in the snow femmes form...she looked unheedingly at her a passive look staining her scarlette features.. lengthy limb dusted the graveled nature from its postition...lobes flickering slightly forward, then remaing contentedly at the side, red nares quivered inquinsitivly at the mares vocals as the drifted forth to sting her drums.....
she giggled slightly at argos attempt to introduce her and looked at the mare once more, red curviture rose slightly not in defiance but loving content, the winds tossed her drappings like a silk rag doll, she paid no heed to it and continued to look onward into the distance as though mezmerized in its memories she seemed to forget the two persons in her flash backs...

River had remained quiet, waiting patiently for a response from the roan mare who remained equally silent, almost as though she hadn't noticed Rivers arrival at all. That which she'd asked for instead came from Argo, and it seemed as well that Vivian, as she could now call her, returned from wherever she'd been. River snorted, slightly taken aback by the nicker and the giggle which the mare issued, it seemed her attention was all for Argo. Whatever thoughts may have followed were cut short by the touchings of the stallion, a gentle nibble at her whithers which she responded to with a nudge, her pale crown connecting with his shoulder briefly, leaving as he moved away from her. She nodded at the words he'd spoken, mahogany pools obscured by her ribbons which shifted as a result of the slight movement.
I agree, its good that you're back.
Flutes were free entirely of her threads now and pinned themselves forwards, dark visionaries removing their gaze from the proud frame of the stallion and fixing once more on Vivian, who now seemed completely absorbed in things which were her own. The word distracted seemed to suit the way the mare was acting now, but still River refused to pass any sort of judgment. The past of another could greatly influence their character, as could their age and those they've associated with. It was likely that Vivian was absorbed in such matters now and wasn't intentionally ignoring them, wasn't it?
As her tassels once again took to their frolicking, lifted slightly by the breeze and remaining away from her serpentine she sidestepped slightly, tiring of simply standing and watching the red figure and choosing to do something about it. Stopping again she shook her poll again before falling still, a smile lingering about her maw and visionaries retaining their bright quality. Now she chose to speak, attempting to bring the newcomer into the conversation by addressing her directly.
You like the lands then Vivian? Beautiful, aren't they?
She tilted her dial slightly with the speaking of her last question, shifting her weight and looking also across the expanse set before her.

the wind brought her back to earth, she shivered at the memories that she had flashed and tossed her tiara..she had known river was there and hadn't been ignoring her hopefully, she flickered her curviture and raised it higher in pride and dignity..she was well suited here...long thin irons dusted off a patch of earth in which she stood upon...she looked over at river and stepped a little closer...the coyotes were yipping and howling and she became utterly horrified at how close they were..she shivered in fear and winced each time there so called music arose once more...she didn't want to look so pathetic as she knew she did..but. she had a reason to fear them....
she nickered to river out of her own wonderings..the white hieress vocals drifted towards her and settled upon her body...drums tingling in response to the words....she stopped and thought about what to say to such a mare as this..she hoped she didn't look bad!..... " Yes...It is beautiful "the sun was setting slowly towards the rim of mother nature...it golden rays seemed to reach out to them, engulfing the emerald plains with utter silent beauty...her own scarlette canvas glowed a golden red in the golden rays of sun...

The black kept himself quiet, enjoying the way gentle breezes lifted ribbons of black from his muscular neck and held them to sway beyond him. He watched as if one in a dream, realizing vaguely that the others were talking. True, he knew their presence and heard their words clearly enough, but for a short time he was suspended, caught between his body and some greater realm. There was no reason for him to talk, anyways. He had fallen into silence as he waited for Vivian to talk. And waited...
One aud found itself falling towards his hindquarters as an expression of concern gripped his handsome face, eyes darkening from their rich mocha hue to a color which lightning threaded through, a ghost of the thoughts behind that elegant sculpture. She seemed herself lost, but so far beyond them that she had fallen into a realm of her own. His gaze hardened as he looked more closely at her, wondering what she could be thinking... Surely the music of the coyotes wasn't her issue. Those creatures were far too cowardly to attack a full grown horse, and he held no fear of them anyways, especially since having fought those elemental wolves...
The stag's expression softened as he thought of them, and of Aero, the strange elemental which had granted him these lands. She seemed so distant... Like the wind itself. He would regret it if he ever found he had power like that, for it seemed to change one. Nonetheless, he enjoyed the way he could toy with the breeze, bringing it over his ebony tinted form like cool water.
Argo's glance fell upon River, a friendly nod given in answer to her first statement. She seemed perplexed as well, and he found surprise blossoming within him as she made an effort to dredge Vivian from her thoughts. This is how a herd should work... Inwardly, the stallion smiled, giving silent approval towards the mare. They all seemed to be getting along nicely... And Vivian was speaking, complimenting his beautiful territory. Argo nodded his regal head, ignoring the fact she seemed to have eyes only for himself.
"It was not easily won over... Although I must say the place is nothing without the presence of yourselves."
He nodded, eyes glancing from the roan's figure to the paler figure of River, eyes warm and cheerful. How strange, that he could change so quickly... Just like the wind.

Silver flutes positioned themselves forwards eagerly as Vivian began to speak, and River failed to prevent a subtle smile falling into place. She nodded, acknowledging the mares words and allowed a quiet sound to part from her labrums in answer. The contentment reflected openly in her visionaries wasn't hidden in the slightest by her forelock, rather stood out, contrasting entirely with the pale hue of her dial. As her flutes fell back once more, unfazed by the howling of the coyotes Argo spoke once more, and her attention shifted back to the ebony monarch.
The fact that the land was not easily won over was something which interested her, for she knew nothing of the way in which lands were obtained. Of course, she knew of the elementals and their bonds with the lands they created.. What task had Argo faced so win Rangi? Something of Aero's choosing, perhaps. His second comment surprised her yet again, though pleasantly so and a nicker of appreciation tumbled into the air before her. Her expression remained as it had since she'd first come upon Vivian, minus the confusion and her stance remained relaxed, banner hanging still at her rear, swaying only at the choosing of the wind.
And I for one am extremely grateful you invited me here, I couldn't imagine ever being content elsewhere.
She snorted, as if bringing all she'd said to a close and lapsed once more into her own silence. The breeze playing about her slender frame had a calming effect, the way it toyed with her tassels and moved past her seemed so careless, so wild. Her statement had been an honest one, despite spending little time with the stallion she liked, and indeed respected him greatly. The pride he displayed so often and his general demeanor were altogether pleasant, and as far as she could tell, he was lacking in faults. She'd roamed the lands and found nothing worth complaining over, and there was the promise of more to come with the arrival of Vivian.. there was little more she could ask for. River also knew that she could've been claimed by any, ended up with any. That simple thought made her all the more grateful for what she'd gained with Argo, even though she hadn't been here all that long.
Unwavering gaze removed itself from the stag, flitting over Vivians scarlet canvas and taking to watching the movement of the stalks, entertained by the way they never settled, as soon as they bent one way or fell still, the breeze forced them into movement once more, constantly changing the apperance of them as a sea of green. They were never allowed to appear the same way twice, and working as a whole they produced a beautiful picture, perfected by the light of the sun falling over it all. It can be odd, the little things that can be missed out on simply by failing to look.
