Okay, okay. I won't make you read ALL of these, just find and read the ones that apply to you. If they don't apply now but they do later, you can always read them at that time. They're here to help.
General
- No swearing. I will have censors on many of the words, but do not try to slip around the censors.
- Your posts need to be at least four lines. It isn't worth it otherwise.
- Please try to use grammar that is somewhat correct. This is just a pet peeve of mine.
- If you have a disagreement with someone, resolve it over PM.
- Characters may not be in multiple places at a time.
- Seasons change monthly.
Joining
- Use the provided form that is in the joining board.
- You may post in OOC while waiting, but please do not post with your character until you have been accepted. (One of the gods will be on at least daily.)
Claiming Mares
- Mares need to post in the claiming grounds first thing, but if you do not receive a reply for a while, you may visit some of the free-roaming lands.
- Stallions without a land cannot claim mares.
- Please do not play hard-to-get. Stallions have herds they need to look after, they can't spend days trying to convince you to join them. Just tell them yes or no and that will be the end of it.
- Stallions cannot be 'courting' more than two mares at a time. (Come on, we have to share. ;D)
- Mares that have already been claimed may not take part in any of the claiming posts.
Claiming Lands
- To claim a land, stallions must go to the Misted Valley and request the land from the ruling god.
- An immortal may seek out and offer one of the stallions rule over one of their terrains if the stallion's actions please them.
Breeding & Foaling
- There will be no force breeding. End of story. It is sick-minded.
- If you do not wish to have a breeding post you are more than welcome to just give me a message wishing for a foal and just skip the whole breeding thing.
- Breeding is allowed only when the News Fader announces it.
- Keep it simple. This is one area where I will allow you to post less than four lines.
- Mares must wait one week in real life before giving birth.
Fighting
- Stallions may fight for land, mares, or dominance.
- Mares may fight for position or dominance.
- PM Pyro telling him which player you have challenged.
- PM the player to make sure that they know they are being challenged.
- If there is no reply to your challenge in three days, whatever the challenger wanted is automatically forfeit to them. (This does not count if the player being challenged has notified us of an absence.)
- Pyro or one of the other Old Ones will judge and help organize the fight.
Stealing
- In order to steal a mare, the stallion wishing to steal must give three clues indicating one of the following: name, color, age, personality, or history.
- The stallion wishing to steal must notify Hydro of who he intends to steal.
- If the targeted mare's lead stallion does not defend her in three days, the stallion wishing to steal her wins. (Again, it doesn't count if the lead stallion has given a reason for being away.)
Favor
- If you post a particularly eloquent piece, a passing immortal may grant you with a special prize.
- This doesn't mean that the longest posters are the ones that'll be most powerful. It's all in what they have to say and the power of the words. It could be in how well the character is played. Good descriptions, wise words, or even a poem that gets the point across well and has a ring to it.
Do not purposefully break any of the rules or you will be banned. Depending on the severity, you may be banned forever, or just a short period of time. Don't let me scare you too badly though, if you just break one of the littler rules, I will gently remind you.
