Night of the Waterfall again......

The mare galloped onto the claiming lands stopping steadily. Her mane and tail billowed in the oncoming breeze she was herdless....she was a mare of the water and awaited a stallion that of the water to claim her.... lifting her finely shaped crown she whinnied into wind..."Come 'yon stallions and claim me as your own!!"....she turned and trotted away to the shade of a weeping willow....she waited...

Snow whirled about in great gusts, blowing Sept's forelock into his eyes constantly. Sometimes it was harder to tell whether what he was looking at was his white forelock or the white ground. Winter had truly come and it was harder out in the roaming lands. The hills didn't give much shelter from the wind and snow and most the grounds were flat and open. Sept shook his head, finding the snow to be weakening. The clouds had released their load and the snow was light. He could see again. The flakes still stung his eyes and hit him with the cold, but it wasn't as bad as before. Something, a call, echoed and rebounded. Sept listened cautiously, aware that there may be predators about. They lived in the outer regions of the land and may get so desperate for food that they wandered into places like the claiming hills. He snorted, backing up a step and shaking his head. He hadn't been in here for a while and it was strange and alien to him. Sept looked around, remembering that sound. It was the sound of a challenging mare. No, not another one of those. So cliche. Defiant mares, stubborn mares. Sept sighed, wishing more mares would be like Altair. He then saw a mare by the shade of a willow. The sky was dark and grey. She must have been waiting a long time.. He snorted, blinking back the snow. Hi. He called towards her, waiting.

spotting the stallion looking at her...she twitched her ears at her hi....'Ello M'Lord" she replied daintly....looking at his large white form....he was a handsome one he was, not like the others she had meet. She waited his reply..

Sept nodded, acknowledging the fact that she had spoken. A dainty mare, very soft-spoken. And one of those 'm'lords'. Fun. He smiled happily, shaking his head and snorting. I see... He said to no one in particular. He took a few steps nearer to her, now feeling that he was welcome in her life now. Hopefully none others would come. I'm September. Sept for short. He offered, still smiling. What about you? He asked afterwards, even though she probably would've gotten the idea and said her name as well. Most mares were smart. Most... Altair was. Sept smile broadened for a moment.

ooc: I'm not going to interfere or have Altair get in the way, I'm just going to roleplay because I haven't roleplayed with Altair lately couldn't help but post with Altair. I don't mean to make things awkward or anything.

Altair could see no more than a foot around her, the snow was so intense. Sept had been lost, as his handsome pallid coat blended in with the snow so well and he was at a reckless gallop. She blinked snow out of her vision rapidly, and had to pause to shake the flakes off of her plain mud-colored coat frequently. She heard calls lost in the winter air, and lone mares pacing to keep warm. it was a good time for a stallion to ask a mare into his herd now, as a home was very necessary at this time of year. She kept on at a steady walk through the heavy snow, following her senses. She turned her head sharply. A familiar scent met her nostrils, as did a familiar voice enter her auds. I'm... Sept for... He was obviously nearby, but Altair was having a hard time figuring out where. After a while of following blind guesses and a few snatched words and scents, Altair was eventually led to a weeping willow. Sept was closer than ever now. Hoping she was not interrupting anything or irritating her lord and this strange mare, Altair took a step into the delicate seclusion of the willow.

It was a bit awkward, with her appearing out of nowhere. The other mare's coat was a burnished red color, and was quite becoming. Altair thought distantly about her own coat, and the only thing she found nice about it when it comes to looks was it hid dirt well. She did appreciate its more practical qualities, though, such as keeping her warm in this harsh environment. Altair turned her thoughts back to this mare, and managed a welcoming smile. Greetings. I am Altair. She nodded at Sept, Sept is my lead at Astarte. May I ask thy name? She asked, not knowing that Sept had just asked the question. Name was so simply put, when it came to thee's and thy's, and it sounded quite odd. But Altair did not find a need to be all fancy and formal, and could not help the way she spoke. Name was just short and sweet.

ooc: Wow. I just had a lot of muse with Altair. I guess it's because I haven't roleplayed with her in too long. XD No one was really talking about the surroundings too much, I hope you don't mind if I made a blizzard. XD XD

ooc: Okay Altair. I saw Sept invited you to come here, and as long as you don't make it too awkward or uncomfortable you can stay. It's okay whitey, and you can always modify your post.

she nickered at his reply..."Vivian Le Mar, I take it you have a deputy??" she snorted and tossed her head, pawing at the snow...her pelt glinting off of what ever sun there was in the sky...her mind racing, about wether he would be good enough...she had always wanted to be lead of a herd...and hoping that her time had come...
