The resounding pound of hoofbeats echoed dully against the cold earth beneath the large hooves of a mare. As she wove along through the wood, her breath drew clouds from the air and she reared playfully to catch them in her teeth. They, with a whinny, she would fall back to her hooves and resume her slow canter.
She was finally leaving her mother's side and into the world, and when she thought of this, her chocolate eyes would cloud over and she would despair silently over her memories. Then as a sharp gust of wind or would snap against her face, and she would return to the world and move on.
And yet, she didn't have an idea where she was going. The thought of asking for directions flitted past her brain but, who to ask?
Finally, she reached a series of lovely hills where it seemed that a few others roamed. So she reached down for grass and stopped. She could recover here from her trip.

For a while she observed, sprawled comfortably over the grass. She had just heard conversed that this was a place where she could be claimed and so, she decided to stay until a worthly stallion would come to pass her. And although she had before been of wind, she cared nought the element of her stallion.
