ooc: Okay. Scratch that previous post of mine. It's stupid. She's just going to have a normal life. I'm not going to change my mind again.

ooc: Sorry, I had to do something else for a sec. Something's wrong with my old english, but I don't feel like fixing it right now. Altair listened intently. Why hath thou entered the forest forbidden to thee? Were thou a reckless youth? Her thoughts were brought back to her own past, full of different bet splendid lands, a free spirit. Altair intended to stay here at Astarte now. She now had a home to come back to, as well as a welcoming herd. Her imagination supplied the images for Sept's past. It was quite sad. But what was in the forest he was forbidden to enter? Was that what had given him a nightmare?

Sept shrugged. You could say that. Still reckless now, I bet. He smiled, his tail swishing through the mist. It encircled Astarte in a cold embrace, drawing in on the trio of horses. The forbidden forest? Well.. He didn't know how to explain it, his parents never told him much about why it was forbidden. I suppose someone must've died in there before me and the elders supposed it cursed. Some sort of mumbo jumbo like that. It wasn't all too scary, actually... That was a lie. When he had been three, the forest was eerie and uninviting. Wolves had made scattered packs and howled. It had been very scary. So, that's that, isn't it? He said at last, after thinking a bit. Is there anything else you'd like to tell me about yourself? He asked, changing the subject. Sept tilted his head to the side a bit, wondering.

I have no more to say.
That wasn't true. She had more questions about his past. Perhaps she could coax it out of him sometime. For now it was just time to return to Flyte. Altair started walking towards the other mare. She turned her head in a gesture for Sept to follow. Then she halted near Flyte for a minute. Now that it was Flyte's turn to talk to Sept, Altair wandered a small distance to a nearby pool of water to drink.

Ar-are you sure? He called after her, frowning. He followed her, halting near Flyte. He looked at Altair, still. She seemed ready to say something else. Oh well. Sept looked at Flyte and nodded, thinking of the words to say. Er.. He grinned, almost embarrassed. Uh.. I need to talk to you now, I guess. He finished lamely. Sept stamped away, back to the spot where he and Altair had just recently stood. He beckoned Flyte over, waiting for her to come.

Flyte looked briefly at Altair as the pair returned, but her attention was drawn away quickly by Sept. She nodded at his words, her expression a less enthusiastic version of his before setting herself into motion after him. A smile crept its way over the ebony plush as she followed, flutes flicking his way. She was curious as to what he wished to talk to them both about but let it slide, she was about to find out wasn't she? Stopping when she reached him she looked at him with interest, wondering vaguely what the conversation would lead her to reveal.

He became more serious as she came about. So.. It's nothing crucial or something like that. Just.. I would want to know more about you. That's what I talked about to Altair. Sept said, wondering how to continue. That means your 'istory and anything else you can confide in me. Then I'll share my part. He finished his little speech, looking almost expectantly at Flyte. Whatever you'd like to say, you can say it now. He added, waiting quietly.

She nodded slowly before raising her gaze to Sept.
You really want to know?
She smiled and took a breath in, her history..
Very Well. I was born into a large herd, which I don't remember much of. I was the foal nobody wanted, my dam died not long after my birth and I was rejected, mostly due to my tendency to boss the little filly's about or talk too much, steal milk from other mares..always rejected. I endured glares and being ignored, in fact I began to enjoy it, taking pleasure in the fact nobody liked me and so gaining more disapproval
she smiled somewhat regretfully before continuing,
At the beginning of my third year things changed, whether or not for the better I still can't say.. a stag in the herd started to take an interest in me, speaking to me.. asking me questions and drawing out feelings I thought I'd never share, I liked him, thought I finally had a friend... One day he took it too far, said it was time I became of service to the herd rather than a burden to it and told me I was to carry his offspring. I didn't want to and, being who I am, I didn't let him. I took off, giving him something to remember me by of course..and never returned. I spent more weeks than I care to remember in solitude before coming here.
She looked at him for a reaction. Rather long winded she knew but he'd asked. Rubbing her poll against a fore she smiled, though the action seemed distracted and shook her tassels free of her vision, flutes swiveling in the direction of Sept so as to catch whatever he chose to say in return, history usually contributed greatly to the equines character sometimes greatly, sometimes not but it was usually the case, had her past influenced who she was? Shrugging the matter off she looked back at Sept, the smile remaining, was there anything else she wanted to share..?
ooc: long post, lol. Oh and congrats on the plot contest both of you ;D

Sept listened silently, his ears perked forward. When she finished, he straightened up. Time's done its share. He murmured, looking off to the distance. Only fair I recite my own.. He chuckled, breathing in deeply. His tale. Well, some had found it hard to believe. Some found it horrible. He just found it a nuisance. Sept's ears flicked back as he recalled the past. Again. It was something that haunted his dreams every so often. Well.. Let's see... I was born in the Year. Odd name, though, since my name is a month in the year. Yes.. My mother was December, my father October. We were all family there. I 'ad a brother, who was a year older than me, and a younger sister, born after I turned one. My parents were the leads of our 'erd... He paused. Anyway.. I was born about a week from one of my cousins, August. We were good friends. I grew up into a three year old, that's when I left. Or, as my family thought, died. I went into this forest that was forbidden to our herd. It scared the 'ell out of August, who had been with me at the time. When I didn't come back, they supposed me dead. He paused again, drawing in breath. So, from there, I wandered. I came back, as if to draw a dramatic entrance, through the forbidden forest. That's when my cousin saw me and thought I was a ghost. She ran off to the 'erd. They didn't know I 'ad never died. And I left again, finding this place. It all goes on from there. It left him empty, as if some part of him had been torn away. It was a good feeling.

Listening intently throughout his tale she was silent a moment when he finished before giving a slight nod, alerting him to the fact she had been listening.
A unique past and quite something..
She wondered about odd things in the story, why was the forest forbidden? The fear of the pl;ace must have certainly increased at Septs disappearance, and August.. Shaking her poll lightly she let the matter rest, the topic might come up again, it might not, she wouldn't bother him with it. Allowing the weight to leave a hind, by raising the hoof a moment she figured there wasn't anything else Sept should know about her, or that she'd want to share, her past was all she carried and she didn't tend to dwell too much on other matters.

Sept watched her carefully before nodding in agreement. Indeed. He murmured, turning his head to observe the waterfall. It was turning out to be a very beautiful day... He looked back at Flyte, wondering. Anything else you wish to confide in me? He asked cautiously, as if afraid of her reaction. His ear twitched, tail flicking through the mist at one of the bugs that had turned up. He smiled then, knowing how good today was turning out. He blinked, sighing airily. Sept shifted his weight to the other side to get more comfortable, though he wouldn't need it for long. He would be rejoining Altair soon because he was sure Flyte had nothing else to share. But just incase she did, Sept remained standing there, listening intently.

She shook her poll and replied, a smile creeping across her maw at the almost cautious look his mug played host to.
No, theres nothing else.
She answered, following his gaze to the waterfall. She still hadn't got over the beauty which this land seemingly had no shortage of, probably never would. Dipping her poll as if testing the muscles still worked in her serpentine she felt a certain energy and relief in which she had long been lacking, perhaps it came with the comfort of having no secrets, perhaps not.. Raising her visage to study Sept she tilted her cranium slightly, as if viewing him at another angle improved her vision, and nodded once. Then, inclining her dial slightly she broke into a trot and headed away a little, not too much as it wouldn't look polite to simply abandon him. No, she had too much restless energy to stand longer, and the mist before her seemed to ask to be entered. Smiling she forced herself to turn back to Sept, letting him know of her wish to depart, if he hadn't already figured that one out for himself.

[feh. sept won't have that gay accent anymore.]
Sept nodded to her decision. He side-stepped, as if allowing her a path to where Altair stood patiently. If you ever wish to talk, His eyes sort of twinkled. You may find me anywhere. He turned with a nod, walking towards the waterfall. As he got farther away from the two, he began to trot, his hooves sinking into the saturated ground. The waterfall's roar became louder and louder, as if he was facing a lion. Soon, Astarte's magnificent array came before him, half hidden in the mist. He gawked at it for a moment, grinning. Sept walked up to the bank, sipping the cool water. He swallowed, blinking once or twice. His ear twitched, swiveling to catch some invisible sound. I'll be back you two! He shouted above the waterfal to the two mares. Take care of yourselves! He added, bounding away. And with that, he seemed to disappear into the mist.

ooc: Alright, I can't think of anything to say so I'll just wait till Sept gets back from the claiming grounds, or Flyte can post something.
